West Ham United: David Moyes reveals he wants to play Divin Mubama in FA Cup v Derby
David Moyes has revealed that West Ham United starlet Divin Mubama could feature in the club’s FA Cup clash v Derby County on Monday 30 January.
The 18-year-old has already featured twice for the first team so far this season once in the UEFA Europa Conference League and once in the Premier League.
Now Moyes has confessed that he would like to have Mubama involved in the FA Cup clash, admitting he is a great runner with great energy.

“I would like to have Divin involved – I like him around the group,” said Moyes to Football London. (28 January)
“He gives us great energy, he’s a great runner.
“He is still off it a little bit but if I could get him involved I certainly would because he has got a brilliant attitude. He is willing to work and run for the team – he is a real team player, which I really like.
“We like him and think he has got a chance. He’s probably a little bit before his time but we’ve seen him in Europe and he came on in a [mid]-season game and has done well.”

Kicking on.
Mubama is certainly starting to kick on in his professional career and has been lighting up things for West Ham United at the youth level.
The fearsome forward has scored 15 goals in 11 appearances for the youth side so far this season, something that hasn’t gone unnoticed by Moyes.
Hopefully, he’ll get a chance to shine in the FA Cup on Monday evening and there is arguably no better place than the cup competition for Mubama to make a name for himself.
West Ham United only have one fit senior forward available for their FA Cup trip at Pride Park in Michail Antonio, with Danny Ings and Gianluca Scamacca both out.
This could very well mean that Mubama gets a start in the fixture or at the very least the chance to get a fair few minutes under his senior belt.
Moyes will be hoping to come out of this one unscathed after a convincing win against relegation rivals Everton last time around.
