West Ham United monitoring Mexico World Cup maestro Alexis Vega
West Ham United are monitoring the progress of Alexis Vega as the silky South American plays for Mexico at the FIFA World Cup, according to fichajes.net.
It makes sense that the Hammers will be using the international tournament as a scouting mission to unearth potential Premier League stars.
The report claims having “exploded” onto the international scene in Qatar, Vega is being closely monitored by West Ham United and PSV Eindhoven.

“Alexis Vega is being monitored by clubs like PSV Eindhoven or West Ham United,” as quoted by fichajes.net.
“It is that the Mexican star of CD Guadalajara has exploded in the famous international competition.”

Lively.
Vega has looked lively in the Mexico national team at the World Cup in what has been an otherwise disappointing showing from the South American country.
The attacker has started both of Mexico’s opening group games against Poland and Argentina, picking up just one point.
The 25-year-old, however, has been surprisingly bright in these dull outings from the rest of his team and has gained many plaudits for his never say die attitude.
His direct, pacy and powerful play could be really beneficial to the Hammers and would be a shrewd bit of business if the club chose to move for him.
Obviously, there are risks with signing a largely unproven player, but there is also an untapped potential in Vega which is ultimately the more telling temptation.
An extra bit of magic in the Hammers attack certainly wouldn’t go amiss and if Vega’s World Cup performances are anything to go by, he could be the perfect potion for the Irons.
