West Ham United midfielder Conor Coventry could be set for exit
West Ham midfielder Conor Coventry could be set for summer exit, as per Claret and Hugh.
The reliable Hammers source wrote on their website on 27 July that the 22-year-old midfielder could either be offered on loan or he could leave permanently if there’s a good offer on the table.
The Hammers could be tempted to sell him as his contract ends next June.

The report adds that this weekend’s pre-season game against French club Lens provides the last chance for him to impress his manager. If he fails to make an impact, he probably won’t be a part of David Moyes’s plans next season.
Exit likely
Coventry, who has returned to the club after his loan spell with MK Dons, has been involved in West Ham’s pre-season games so far.
He came off the bench against Rangers and Luton Town, and it has become very clear that he is mostly seen as a squad player for the club next season.
Coventry has made only three first-team appearances for the Hammers and has only managed 58 minutes for the. senior side. He is already behind Flynn Downes in the pecking order, and if the Hammers sign another midfielder, he would push further down.

The Hammers are actively looking to add a top-quality midfielder to their ranks, and if they manage to get one, Downes will become their fourth-choice option.
Downes is likely to become the fourth choice option at the club.
In such a scenario, Coventry will find it really hard to break into the first-team, although Moyes can use him in cup games. He is at the stage of his career where he needs to play regularly, and a loan move or a permanent move away from the club could be ideal for his development.
