ExWHUemployee: Maxwel Cornet could return for West Ham United v Manchester United

West Ham United could be set for a “huge boost” ahead of their FA Cup fifth-round clash against Manchester United with a potential return of Maxwel Cornet, according to ExWHUemployee.

Cornet has been out of action for West Ham United for almost five months since suffering an injury to his calf in October last year.

Ex confessed that Cornet has been training with the squad and is edging closer to a return admitting he could be in the team to face United on Wednesday.

“West Ham boss David Moyes is set to be handed a huge boost with the return of Max Cornet edging closer, it has been reported by ExWHUEmployee,” as quoted by The West Ham Way.

”Cornet has been training and he’s close,” stated Ex.

“It’s not confirmed but he could be in the squad that travels to Old Trafford on Wednesday.”

West Ham

Welcomed.

Cornet’s return would be a welcomed boost for this West Ham United outfit who until the 4-0 win over Nottingham Forest this weekend, were struggling for goals.

The Ivorian coming back into the fold will be like a new January signing finding his feet, that’s just how little fans have seen of Cornet since his arrival this summer.

Five months out of action is a long time, however, and Moyes will have to tread carefully by not rushing the silky winger back too fast.

Cornet does have a decent chance of earning a starting spot in this Hammers XI though with no one in the attacking ranks fully cementing their spot so far this season.

Having players to deploy like Cornet always helps matters and he can be a decent little weapon for Moyes and his coaching staff to utilise for the remainder of the campaign.

Fans will be delighted to hear of Cornet’s return.
