West Ham United manager update as Ruben Amorim goes behind president’s back

The Portuguese news outlet reported on 26 April that Amorim went behind the back of Sporting president Frederico Varandas to fly to London for the interview.
This has led to the club being unhappy despite the Portuguese not really liking the project at the London Stadium.

Amorim’s recent actions and comments indicate that he may not be fully committed to following a strict chain of command or embracing the project at the London Stadium.
The Portuguese did not like the club’s plans for the future, suggesting that he might not be a good fit for their ambitions and long-term plans.

Furthermore, Amorim’s meeting with the Hammers in London has led to speculation and scepticism from other parties, including intermediaries who suggested that Amorim might have used the meeting to put pressure on Liverpool to offer him the managerial position.
