West Ham United manager update as Ruben Amorim goes behind president’s back

West Ham managerial target Ruben Amorim met with the club as they plan for life after David Moyes, according to Leonino.

The Portuguese news outlet reported on 26 April that Amorim went behind the back of Sporting president Frederico Varandas to fly to London for the interview.

This has led to the club being unhappy despite the Portuguese not really liking the project at the London Stadium.

Ruben Amorim is not the right fit for West Ham

Amorim’s recent actions and comments indicate that he may not be fully committed to following a strict chain of command or embracing the project at the London Stadium.

The Portuguese did not like the club’s plans for the future, suggesting that he might not be a good fit for their ambitions and long-term plans.

This lack of enthusiasm for the project raises concerns about his compatibility with West Ham’s goals and direction.

Furthermore, Amorim’s meeting with the Hammers in London has led to speculation and scepticism from other parties, including intermediaries who suggested that Amorim might have used the meeting to put pressure on Liverpool to offer him the managerial position.

This behaviour implies that Amorim may not see the club as his first choice destination and might be using the opportunity to leverage his position in negotiations with other clubs.

Ruben Amorim
It doesn’t look like Ruben Amorim will be David Moyes’ successor at West Ham United.

Given these circumstances, it would be prudent for the London outfit to consider other managerial options that align more closely with the club’s vision and objectives.

In other West Ham news, the club have been handed a major boost in appointing David Moyes’ replacement as a manager has made his future intentions clear.
