West Ham United make official approach for Arnaut Danjuma
West Ham have made an “official approach” for Villarreal’s Dutch winger Arnaut Danjuma, with the 25-year-old showing “significant interest” in a switch to the Hammers according to 90min.
The Daily Mail reported on Thursday 30 June that “positive talks” have been held with the attacker and it now appears that a formal approach has been submitted by the Irons.
The Spanish side are said to be happy to sell the Dutch international for £37.5million and 90min reported on Thursday 30 June that a move to The London stadium “is of significant interest” to the Villarreal man.

Danjuma managed 16 goals in the 2021/22 season, including six in the Champions League as Villarreal reached the semi-final of Europe’s flagship club competition.
Exciting times
Now, this is a statement of intent from the Hammers at last.
Danjuma has excelled since his departure from Bournemouth and has been one of Europe’s most in-form and sought-after wide men.
It is a good sign to see the Hammers in negotiations with a player who will command a large fee.
It gives the West Ham faithful hope that they will show the level of ambition required this summer to keep them in and amongst the Premier League’s top six clubs.

Danjuma brings a level of Champions League experience that is lacking at the London Stadium and will provide David Moyes with another option to utilise behind the striker in his 4-2-3-1 formation.
News of the Hammers targeting some attacking additions will come as a relief for Hammers fans.
It was wise of the West Ham boss to bolster his rearguard with Rennes defender Nayef Aguerd and PSG goalkeeper Alphonse Areola.
However, it is now time to get fans excited with the addition of some attacking players.
Danjuma would certainly get fans of their seats and if Moyes can bring in another striker to rival Michail Antonio, then the Hammers squad will really start to take shape.
