West Ham United look at another high profile striker as well as Armando Broja – Sky Sports

West Ham United are looking at another “high-profile” striker alongside Chelsea man Armando Broja, according to Dharmesh Sheth.

The Sky Sports journalist was sharing transfer news live on air when he revealed a text update as the Irons look at a mystery ace for the final third.

Chelsea are still to make up their mind on the future of Broja, and it appears as though Rob Newman and David Moyes are preparing for every eventuality.

Speaking live on Sky Sports on Tuesday [12 July], as shared on their website, Sheth shared the latest transfer news coming out of the London Stadium.

“West Ham’s preference, with regard to Broja is a permanent deal,” he said.

“But, we’re told he’s not the only high-profile striker that West Ham United are looking at and that’s what the texts were about, trying to find out who the other player is.”

Back up.

West Ham United are boxing smart in this window.

With big moves already complete for Alphonse Areola, Nayef Aguerd and Flynn Downes, it appears that the main priority is now a new striker for the squad.

Michail Antonio has been alone for far too long ever since Sebastien Haller left nearly two years ago and it is critical to eradicating that error during this window.

West Ham of the past would have gone all out for one player, and if that fell through, they would have been stuffed, but that isn’t the case anymore.

Ryan Taylor of the Express reported on Tuesday [12 July] that the Irons have held loose agent talks over Stuttgart star Sasa Kalajdzic, so that would be no surprise if he was the man.

The Hammers are being proactive in this window, and long may it continue with numerous new faces still needed to make this squad more than competitive.
