West Ham United locked in talks with Chelsea reps over Armando Broja in last 24 hours - ExWHUemployee
West Ham United have spoken with Chelsea representatives over the last 24 hours over the potential signing of Armando Broja, according to ExWHUemployee.
The reliable source has reported that Chelsea are placing a high value on the Albanian at this moment, with the Irons currently not prepared to meet that as things stand.
It is shared that a middle ground may need to be met if Broja is to move to the London Stadium, a move that he is currently open to as he looks to progress his career.
Writing in his latest Patreon post on the West Ham Way, Ex shared the latest as the Irons look to pull off another major transfer coup in the coming weeks.
“As we have maintained throughout this window we believe that Broja of Chelsea is the main target,” he wrote. “The club have spoken to representatives of the club in the last day or so and Chelsea are placing a high transfer value on his head.
“This value is not what we are prepared to pay and therefore negotiations will take place to see if there is a middle ground that can be met. Chelsea who are on the brink of loaning Lukaku back to Inter Milan, also wish to get at least one, probably two forwards in before they make a final decision on Broja unless West Ham are prepared to meet their high valuation.
“Broja is said to be open to the move to West Ham and thinks his career will have more chance to progress there.”
Progress.
With a deal for Nayef Aguerd done and Alphonse Areola on the verge of completing his permanent switch, the final third simply has to be the priority now for David Moyes.
Broja has been the main target since January it seems, and it would be a real disappointment not to get this one over the line with so much work being put into it already.
Sky Sports have already reported that a £30million bid was being readied, so if that isn’t enough, then Chelsea need to take a good look at themselves given he has never played in the Premier League for them.
Why wouldn’t Broja want this move either? The Albanian would arrive with only Michail Antonio as competition, and with his irritating form at times last season, he would rake in the playing time.
This is certainly one to watch with talks likely ongoing as we speak, with plenty of twists and turns along the way for not only Broja, but for West Ham United too.
