West Ham United keen on Reiss Nelson with Arsenal future in balance
West Ham United “very much” like Arsenal sensation Reiss Nelson as speculation swirls over the 23-year-old’s future, according to the Daily Star’s Paul Brown.
According to The Evening Standard on 11 May, the Hammers are keen on the winger, who is set to be a free agent at the end of the season.
Talking to GIVEMESPORT, Brown has claimed the Hammers are big fans of Nelson and has suggested an exit from The Emirates could be on the cards.

“There are already clubs trying to sign him,” said Brown (14 May).
“West Ham like him very much and I could see him fitting in quite well there. It will be a question of him deciding what his next move is really.
“Arsenal will play more games next season because they’ll have Champions League football and that, I’m sure will be hugely tempting to Reiss Nelson.
“But it wouldn’t surprise me having spent quite a lot of his career out on loan, if he’s decided that he wants to play now and looks for a club where he thinks he can get in every week.”
Astute
The signing of Nelson would be an astute piece of business by the Hammers. He’s proven himself to be a useful asset to Mikel Arteta’s side over the course of the 2022/23 season and his desire to play regularly could see a move to the London Stadium on the cards.
Injuries and lack of gametime have been Nelson’s downfall. Had he been given an extended run on Arsenal’s side, there’s a chance he would’ve been a key part of their success this season. He’s scored some important goals off the bench and certainly knows where the back of the net is.

With Said Benrahma and Jarrod Bowen David Moyes’ first-choice wingers, competition is required. Beyond the former Championship duo, the Hammers’ options are fairly limited.
After a disappointing domestic campaign, the board need to invest once more during the summer window to ensure West Ham finish back in the top ten next season.
