Journalist shares verdict on West Ham United transfer for Michael Keane
Michael Keane isn’t the sexy signing West Ham United fans want in January but he may be exactly what they need, according to journalist Dean Jones.
The defender’s time at Everton seems to be coming to an end, with Frank Lampard preferring a partnership of Conor Coady and James Tarkowski.
And now Jones has revealed that he’s been told that Keane has all the attributes and is someone that David Moyes is considering bringing to West Ham United.

“He’s not a sexy name, but I think he might be exactly the type of player they should be targeting,” said Jones as quoted by GIVEMESPORT.
“I think he’s very much in line with all the things I’m told that they are looking for. I know that he is somebody that they have considered and I think he’d be a pretty good option for them.”

No thanks.
You have to disagree with Jones on this one, Keane is exactly the type of player West Ham United shouldn’t be making moves for.
The Goodison Park centre-back screams panic buy and just doesn’t make much sense, despite the Hammers current injury concerns at the back.
West Ham United would be better off investing in a younger talent who could be nurtured over time rather than a player who is way past his peak.
It’s the kind of transfer the club would have used to make and to be honest, would be a step back in time from what West Ham United are now trying to achieve.
Moyes and co can attract superstar names like Lucas Paqueta and Gianluca Scamacca to London now, they need to be aiming much higher than names like Keane.
This rumoured move just seems plain wrong, with luck, whatever Jones has been told will just be hearsay.
