West Ham United: Jamie O’Hara hits back at fan after 2-0 Nottingham Forest loss

Jamie O’Hara has clapped back at a West Ham fan after he claimed that David Moyes’ team is “shambolic” after a 2-0 loss to Nottingham Forest on Saturday 17 February.

The Hammers were dealt their ninth Premier League defeat of the season by Forest, marking eight matches without a victory in all competitions.

Despite growing pressure on Moyes’ shoulders for his negative style of play, one fan called in to attack the squad itself, and the lack of effort being shown by the players.

During a conversation with O’Hara live on talkSPORT on Saturday (17 February, 5:51pm), the Hammers fan made a bold claim, saying: “We are a shambolic side. Palace are better than us, I guarantee Sheffield United are better than us, and Wolves are better than us.

“We are lucky that we already have the points on the board to escape relegation; we are a poor outfit.”

Baffled by the comment, O’Hara replied: “You were sixth a couple of weeks ago. Come on… Settle down. Didn’t you beat Man United? You beat Tottenham, Arsenal and Man United. Come on…

“I know it’s been poor the last couple of weeks, but come on.”

Frustration are growing at West Ham

West Ham fans have every right to be frustrated with the current circumstances at the club, with the team winless in eight matches.

However, the squad is full of high-quality stars who should be performing a lot better than they have been in recent weeks. Without a goal in their last three outings, but 10 goals conceded, there are blatant issues at both ends of the pitch.

Kurt Zouma continues to fall flat on his face with his displays, while Moyes is not capable of making the correct decision of dropping him for Konstantinos Mavropanos, or even Angelo Ogbonna.

David Moyes has found himself under increasing pressure at West Ham United.

Of course, Lucas Paqueta has been a massive miss at London Stadium, but one absence is no excuse for the performances, especially the defeat to Forest, who are floundering in 15th place.

Undoubtedly, something drastic needs to change. But with no opportunity to bring in new players, and Moyes expected to remain at the club until the summer, it could be a frustrating second half of the campaign for West Ham.
