West Ham United injury news emerges with Thilo Kehrer boost
West Ham United will be able to call upon defender Thilo Kehrer for their trip to Brighton on Saturday 26 August, according to the Evening Standard.
The newspaper reported on their website on Tuesday (22 August) that the German defender had returned to training with the Irons having recovered from a minor back problem that ruled him out of the Irons’ win over Chelsea.
David Moyes will be without Nayef Aguerd after the Moroccan defender received a red card in the game against the Blues but could also be bolstered by the imminent arrival of Konstantinos Mavropanos from Stuttgart.

There is a possibility both Kehrer and Mavropnaos feature against the Seagulls, should everything work out.
Options are growing
It wasn’t that long ago that there was some unrest around the London Stadium as West Ham’s transfer business was faltering and options in defence were looking rather limited, but things are certainly looking up in East London at the moment.
The return of Kehrer demonstrates the options now at the disposal of Moyes, something which the Irons haven’t always possessed, now, especially at the back they look like a truly competitive force in the Premier League.

Once Mavropanos’ signing is confirmed, the Hammers can continue to address their shortcomings in the forward department, with West Ham needing to replace the loss of Gianluca Scamacca and add a few more goals to their team.
Depth will be a necessity with another European campaign on the cards this season, at the moment the Irons seem to be developing that sturdier squad which should serve them well both in the Europa League and domestically.
