West Ham United injury news as trio set for late fitness tests before Spurs clash in Premier League – Expert
West Ham United trio Nayef Aguerd, Aaron Cresswell, and Gianluca Scamacca are set for late fitness tests ahead of the Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday (19 February), according to injury expert Ben Dinnery.
David Moyes confirmed to the press that Scamacca is back in training but he is likely to only get a cameo role. The Hammers are likely set to miss the likes of Kurt Zouma, Alphonse Areola, Lucas Paqueta and Maxwell Cornet for this game.
Writing for the Premier Injuries website, Dinney said that the Hammers trio are due for a “Late Fitness Test” ahead of the derby clash. Cresswell has a 75% chance of playing, while the other two have only a 25% chance of featuring on Sunday.

Boost?
Aguerd, who picked up a groin injury, has a chance to take part in the game, even if it is from the bench. It will be a massive boost for the club if he is passed fit to play.
Cresswell missed the previous game against Chelsea, and Emerson replaced him in the starting line-up. The Brazilian did well and scored against his former club.
He will be in full confidence at the moment, and Moyes needs to make a decision whether to stick with him or bring Cresswell into the side. While Cresswell is a better defender than Emerson, the Brazilian is particularly strong going forward.

The return of Scamacca couldn’t have come at a better time. The Hammers have shown signs of improvement in their last few games, but they are still struggling to score freely.
January signing Danny Ings is yet to score for his new club. Scamacca probably won’t be risked for this one, but should be able to contribute going forward or so West Ham United will hope so.
