West Ham United: Injury expert shares Newcastle United team news update ahead of showdown
Newcastle United could be without up to eight players for their Premier League showdown with West Ham United on Saturday 30 March, according to Ben Dinnary.
The injury expert shared in an update on his website Premier Injuries (25 March) that Sven Botman will be sidelined having suffered an ACL injury which will rule him out alongside Joelinton, Nick Pope, Callum Wilson and the suspended Sandro Tonali.
Kieran Trippier is expected to return against the Irons, but that is not “guaranteed”, while Eddie Howe also suggested that he hopes to have both Tino Livramemento and Harevy Barnes available once again against David Moyes’ side.
While the Newcastle boss has admitted he hopes to have all three players fit and available to start on Saturday, it remains to be seen whether or not they will be fit to play a part against the Irons.
Will West Ham United beat Newcastle United to help their Europa League hopes?
After a difficult couple of months which saw pressure mount on Moyes from supporters at the London Stadium, the Hammers’ recent upturn in form has seen some security grow around the Scotsman as he nears the end of his contract.
The Irons have impressed in both the Premier League and the Europa League and they have an excellent chance of qualifying for European football again this season, but they will need to pick something up at St James’ Park to boost those hopes.

Moyes’ side showed they can hold their own against the division’s best in their draw against Aston Villa so they will believe that they can claim all three points in the North East. However, it would be a boost if a couple of Newcastle’s big names miss the match.
Tripper hasn’t been at his best this season, but Livramento and Barnes are excellent players and they could cause the Hammers problems. Hopefully, West Ham will find a way to claim all three points no matter who Howe names in his starting XI.
