West Ham United in talks with Bradford City over Thierry Nevers loan

Thierry Nevers is set to make a loan move to Bradford City as the West Ham youngster is close to leaving Newport County, according to Football London.

The 20-year-old is still currently on loan at Rodney Parade but the Irons have a recall option which they could trigger very soon in order to let him move to Valley Parade.

The deal is still not yet completed by any stretch but it could only be a matter of days until it is and the announcements can be made.

West Ham

Nevers has not played the number of games he or the Hammers wanted with the Exiles after only seven games in all competitions and now he wants a change of scenery and fortunes.

Bradford are looking for a new winger after West Ham United’s Premier League rivals Aston Villa recalled Tyreik Wright on Monday (9 January) in order for him to join League One high-flyers Plymouth Argyle.

Fresh start

For any player, seven games in the first half of the season are just not enough to make things worthwhile and Nevers needed to leave Rodney Parade to push on as an individual.

For whatever reason, things just did not click in Wales and the hope from West Ham will be that he can find that magic in Yorkshire instead at a team in the same division.

West Ham United

Mark Hughes is the perfect manager for an attacking player to play under given his lucrative career on the field and his impressive CV of managerial jobs off it.

The Welshman should be able to take Nevers under his wing and give him the freedom to find his mojo again after it appeared lost at Newport.

David Moyes won’t consider him for first-team games until he has proven he is ready and that makes this loan move to Valley Parade a very critical one for his future at West Ham.
