West Ham United in pole position to sign Gianluca Scamacca
West Ham United are in pole position to sign Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca, according to a report from Calciomercato.
The Italian media outlet reported on 14 July that the Hammers have moved ahead of Paris Saint-German to sign the talented Italy international.
They have submitted the “most concrete” offer and the striker is “destined” to leave the club this summer.

Get it done
The Hammers have already tabled a bid worth £33.7million to sign Sassuolo striker, and they are emerging as frontrunners in the race.
PSG can offer more money and Champions League football which can turn his head, but the Hammers can offer him regular football and the opportunity to lead the line.
Scamacca is one of the rising stars of Italian football. Last season, he scored 16 goals for the Serie A club, and he is going to get better with more quality players around.

This has been an excellent transfer window for the Hammers, who have signed three players already, including the big-money signing of Nayef Aguerd.
Bolstering the forward department is a top priority for West Ham this summer, and David Moyes has other targets as well, like Armando Broja of Chelsea.
If the London club manage to agree a deal for Scamacca, chances are high that they probably won’t move for Broja.
Scamacca would be a terrific addition to the club, and it seems the Hammers are heading in the right direction to get him on board.
