West Ham United in hunt to sign Spezia star Emil Holm as numerous clubs chase signature
West Ham are reportedly battling it out with a number of European clubs for Spezia ace Emil Holm, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.
The Italian news outlet claims the Hammers are joined in the race for the Swedish defender’s signature by Serie A sides Napoli, Inter, Atalanta and Juventus, as well as fellow Premier League rivals Brighton.
Tutto said Spezia are resigned to losing the 23-year-old right-back, but with his contract set to run until 2026, they are looking for a fee in the region of £12.8million.

Bargain
The fee being quoted for a player that is seemingly very highly rated in Italy doesn’t seem too much when you consider how much a player usually arrives in the Premier League for in the current market.
The fact a number of clubs – including some of the biggest sides in Italy – have shown an interest proves there is potentially an excellent player on offer here.
It’s also important to note that Brighton rarely get it wrong with their recruitment so, if they are in for him, that is another sign that he would be able to fit right in at the required level.

West Ham are clearly in the market for another full-back given some of the players they have recently been linked to, so it would be no surprise to see us make an offer for him soon.
But the club will probably have to move quickly if they want to snap him up.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers are preparing a move for an England international midfielder.
