West Ham United in ‘advanced talks’ to sign Chelsea striker Armando Broja
West Ham United are in “advanced talks” to sign Armando Broja from Chelsea this summer, according to a report from INews.
The Hammers have been heavily linked with a move for the young striker, with Fabrizio Romano reporting on 20 July that Chelsea are only negotiating a direct transfer at the moment.
The website reports on 20 July that the Hammers have gazumped both Newcastle and Everton to secure the signature of Broja.

West Ham have already made three signings so far, including the big-money transfer of Nayef Aguerd. However, if they can land Broja, it would represent their most “significant deal of the summer”.
Bang on
There is no second doubt about that.
It’s not about the money, nor it is about the quality of the youngster.
In fact, when you think about it, spending nearly £30m on a 20-year-old striker who has had just a decent campaign with Southampton on loan, it’s a calculated gamble.
But still, it’s a massive deal for the club. The Hammers would be finally landing a striker!
They have wasted three transfer windows to land one, and the situation is dire this summer. In such a scenario, the potential signing of Broja is equivalent to a blockbuster deal.

David Moyes wanted someone who can challenge Michail Antonio for the starting role, or can play together if needed.
Most importantly, here is a player whose best years are ahead of him. Moyes can make him even better, and the club can reap benefits in the long run.
The fact that he did well last season at Southampton has possibly promoted West Ham to take a gamble on him. It seems the Hammers have moved ahead of other rivals, and an agreement could be reached in coming days.
