West Ham United hierarchy make contact with Mohammed Kudus camp after controversy

West Ham United hierarchy members got in contact with Mohammed Kudus’ camp to say there were no issues between the player and Julen Lopetegui, according to the Athletic.

The news outlet reported on 2 October that Kudus and the Spaniard were in a bust-up after he was substituted at half-time in the 1-1 draw at Brentford on 28 September.

The situation has been reported to be resolved, with club insiders sharing that the matter was blown out of proportion and it is now business as usual at Rush Green.

West Ham United controversy with Mohammed Kudus

There’s no denying that the Hammers have had an abysmal season so far.

Their summer transfer window filled fans with hope as key areas were targeted for reinforcement with the likes of £34million man Jean Clair-Todibo arriving [Florian Plettenberg, 9 August].

Lopetegui’s new arrivals have now all been integrated into the squad with just Niclas Fullkrug still sidelined due to injury [GiveMeSport, 27 September].

Kudus, along with the likes of Jarrod Bowen and Lucas Paqueta have been shining lights so often for the Hammers, starting together under David Moyes.

Although players and managers are likely to tussle over tactical choices, it is good to see that the issue has blown over despite the information somehow emerging.

If West Ham wish to get back into the European places this term, they’re going to need their best players to be firing on all cylinders otherwise things could get quite hairy for the club.
