West Ham United have offers for several young players, David Moyes evaluating – ExWHUemployee

West Ham have received offers for a number of young players to leave on loan or permanently, with David Moyes taking his time to make a decision according to ExWHUemployee.

The Hammers recently allowed young defender Aji Alese to join Sunderland on a permanent move that came as a shock to many fans.

Now Ex has revealed on his Patreon that the club have received offers for several young players such as Conor Coventry, Armstrong Okoflex, Harrison Ashby and more but David Moyes is running the rule over them in training before making a decision.

“The players who could leave West Ham.. you’ve got Masuaku, you’ve got Randolph,” he said. “Their situations are a bit unclear at the moment but also academy players.

“Now what happened with Alese, the manager like he’s doing with a number of other young players like Conor Coventry, Okoflex, Baptiste, Ashby, the numerous ones that have featured so far this window, he’s looking at them.

“He’s got deals lined up. There’s clubs in for all of those players that are already there to take them on loan and take on permanents. Conor’s got people, Okoflex has got people, they’ve all got clubs waiting as did Alese.

“What happens is when Moyes makes his mind up on whether they’re good enough for the Premier League or not, then he sanctions those moves. So the deal with Sunderland was there, they’d made their offer, it was there to happen. Moyes wanted to wait and see if Alese was good enough.”

Talent

West Ham have always been known for their amazing academy and the pathway to the first-team, and that hasn’t stopped since Moyes joined the club.

Youngsters like Ben Johnson and Harrison Ashby have been given first-team opportunities under him but he wants to be clear about what players are good enough to contribute to a first-team level.

Alese played in the pre-season game against Ipswich and was sold two days later, showing how quickly the boss can make his decisions. But the fact that offers are on the table is a positive for everyone.

It means West Ham can bide their time and make the right decision for them and the player, while the player knows he’s wanted but can fight to keep his place with the club if he really wants to stay.

Their could be an exodus of youth talent this summer, whether permanently or temporarily is yet to be seen, but don’t be surprised to see more exits like Alese’s as more incomings look set to happen too.
