“West Ham are finalising details on a deal for Ajax midfielder Mohammed Kudus,” according to Sky Sports. “A broad agreement in principle on a deal worth £38m is understood to be close.

“Another Premier League club is thought to have come in late, but the player wants to go to West Ham.”

Huge boost

This is a massive boost for West Ham for various reasons, the main one of course being that they look set to land a very exciting attacking player.

Kudus already boasts one goal and one assist from his two Ajax appearances this season, having registered superb tallies of 18 and seven respectively last time out.

There is no telling just what he could bring to the London Stadium, with fans likely to be on the edge of their seat every time he brings the ball forward.

Another boost for the Hammers comes in the form of them seemingly beating a Premier League rival to the player’s signature.

It shows that the club have plenty of pulling power in the transfer window, with the London Stadium clearly viewed as an attractive destination for a player.

The promise of both Premier League and Europa League football this season is undoubtedly the main factor in that regard.
