West Ham United ground London Stadium owners could hijack Tottenham Hotspur deal

West Ham ground London Stadium owners are reportedly looking to hijack the deal Tottenham Hotspur are looking to seal with Amazon.

According to reliable Hammers insiders Six Foot Two, they will look to undercut Daniel Levy by offering as low as a fifth of that currently being offered by Spurs.

It’s understood that a £250million 10-year deal with Amazon to name their stadium is being discussed with Nike also among the suitors.

Daniel Levy taking a piece of paper out of his pocket.

This would mean that they could acquire the naming rights for a fee in the region of £50million.

Good deal

Both iconic and huge stadiums in the capital are yet to have an official sponsor and it looks like they’re now battling for the same one.

Spurs have a longstanding affiliation with Amazon who shot their All Our Nothing documentary back in 2019 and the web services tycoon is keen on delving into football.

However, if they’re getting a similar level of visibility for one-fifth the price, they surely would not mind taking that.

As West Ham do not own the stadium yet, this will not affect the club’s coffers in any way but it could have a long-term impact.

For the brand, it will do wonders as Amazon surely would want access and possibly do something similar if they do end up signing with the Irons.

These are exciting times and it remains to be seen whether or not the London Stadium owners get their way or Levy manages to give Amazon some additional perks.
