West Ham United goalkeeper Nathan Trott wanted for Scotland loan move
St Johnstone are keen to take West Ham United goalkeeper Nathan Trott to Scotland on a season-long loan, according to the Scottish Daily Express.
The 23-year-old spent the 2021-22 campaign away from Rush Green at French side Nancy but they suffered a dismal campaign and were relegated from Ligue 2, finishing bottom of the table.
Trott was one of the few plus points for Nancy last season by making a string of fine saves but he did not receive the support from his defenders to stop the glut of goals going in.

The Scottish Premiership season begins in just seen days’ time where St Johnstone will host Hibernian but they are still looking for a first-choice shot-stopper and could come to an agreement to take Trott across the border.
Saints manager Callum Davidson is only waiting for the green light from West Ham before making his proper move for Trott but his time is running out.
Let him go
Considering David Moyes has signed Alphonse Areola on a permanent basis already this summer, the Irons probably don’t require Trott’s services this season unless he is needed to be an emergency backup for whatever reason.

But if they are smart, West Ham should be including a recall option in the deal to send the 23-year-old out on loan so if a sudden injury problem hits, he can return to the London Stadium and be an option.
But sitting around with his feet up watching games every single week is not good for his development so whether it is St Johnstone or someone else, he needs to leave and play regularly.
Luckily for Trott, goalkeepers often have a longer career than outfield players and especially attackers so he does not have to rush into the Hammers side as rapidly as a young attacker may have to and this loan should be exactly what the doctor ordered for him.
