Gianluca Scamacca reveals reason behind up and down West Ham United season
Gianluca Scamacca has revealed all on his recent West Ham United form, claiming he hasn’t reached his full potential just yet at the London Stadium.
It’s been an up-and-down season for Scamacca and the Hammers, one where he’s bagged goals and gone missing at the same time.
Scamacca confessed that he’s currently only at “70%” and that he’s building his intensity and confidence to become a much bigger threat in the Premier League.

“I’m at 70% of my potential. In a couple of months, I’ll get there, or be on my way there,” he said as quoted by the Guardian.
“I know I can do better. That’s why I want to work on my confidence, intensity and presence on the pitch – use my physique more. In the Premier League, you need to be more imposing. I need to get used to it quickly.”

Promising.
The promise is there for all to see and it’s clear that Scamacca will become a force for West Ham United in the Premier League.
His deafening touch and impressive finishing will take him a long way in the English top flight and there’s no need for the Hammers to be concerned.
His link-up play with Lucas Paqueta is something West Ham can look towards in times of trouble, the Brazilian has provided two assists for the Italy international.
David Moyes needs to figure out a system that provides Scamacca with more chances, at the moment he can go missing for too long in games.
This isn’t down to the Italian’s lack of effort, but more so the way Moyes has his team set up. Six goals so far is a decent total, but with the abilities, Scamacca possesses it can be so much greater.
He’ll get there eventually, Scamacca feels like a ticking bomb ready to take the league by storm.
