Gabby Agbonlahor says West Ham have a "frightening" attack and it may be that David Moyes is holding the club back.

Moyes' future has again been called into question on the back of Saturday's (30 March) dramatic 4-3 loss at Newcastle United.

The Scotsman has yet to decide if he will put pen to paper on a new contract, with his existing deal due to expire at the end of the season.

Asked if he believes Moyes should go, Agbonlahor said on talkSPORT [30 March]: "The problem is, they're still in Europa League.

"But could the right manager take them to where Aston Villa are right now? A Unai Emery type manager? They're frightening going forward."

Who will be the next West Ham manager?

This is the same question West Ham supporters - many of them, at least - are also asking themselves as the days tick down on Moyes' contract.

You very much know what you are going to get with the veteran manager in the London Stadium dugout.

If a replacement was to be brought in, it would have to be a better option than Moyes. For many supporters, only a big-name option will do.

Thomas Tuchel, Will Still, Graham Potter, Steve Cooper and Michael Carrick are among the names to have been mentioned so far.

The loss to Newcastle was certainly further ammunition that fresh blood is required, with Moyes' decision making questionable to say the least.

It is all well and good saying this team can improve further under another manager, but it could easily be that they go downhill under a new boss.

The truth is that we will not know until there is somebody new brought in. And right now, we still do not know if Moyes is staying or going.
