West United forward Michail Antonio says Dimitri Payet is the best player he’s played with
West Ham United forward Michail Antonio has named the best player he has played with at the club, giving the nod to silky smooth winger Dimitri Payet.
Payet became a lethal weapon during his time at West Ham and it’s no surprise that Antonio has named the Frenchman as his go-to teammate.
His time in London was short, Payet only made 60 appearances for the Hammers but this was obviously enough to make him Antonio’s favourite ever teammate.

Speaking to Goal’s Simply the Best YouTube show, Antonio admitted that he was in no doubt as to who was the best player he has played with at West Ham.
“The best player I’ve played with is Dimitri Payet,” he said.
“The guy was magic, to be fair. He could create a goal out of nothing or get a free-kick and score it as well.”
Reliant.
West Ham United have become far too reliant on Antonio to score goals for them in recent campaigns and his frustrating start to the campaign has tied in with the Hammers’ struggles.
It’s hard to pinpoint where exactly things have been going wrong for David Moyes but their lack of goals up top certainly hasn’t been helping matters.
The summer signing of Gianluca Scamacca hasn’t seemed to help Antonio with the responsibilities of carrying the forward line and this poses a worrying situation moving forward.
The London club already spent big on new talents this summer so it’s unlikely they’ll be able to dip into the market again in January for reinforcements.
West Ham were bailed out at the end of last season by Jarrod Bowen’s goals when things dried up for Antonio, but he’s failed to capitalise this campaign too.
Antonio and his team need to get things right quickly, or Moyes could find himself in the all but familiar Premier League firing line.
