David Moyes heaps praise on West Ham United summer signing Gianluca Scamacca
West Ham United boss David Moyes has heaped praise on summer signing Gianluca Scamacca, admitting the forward’s goals will be giving him confidence.
The striker got off the domestic mark in Sunday’s win over Wolves and continued his European goalscoring streak by netting the winner against Anderlecht on Thursday.
Moyes confessed the Italian’s form was getting “better all round” but there is still room for improvement despite the 23-year-old doing a good job.

“He is 23, a young Italian striker in the Premier League and I think he is coming along really well,” Moyes said as quoted by the Independent.
“His goals give you confidence, the centre-forwards will tell you that. His form is getting better all round.
“His fitness is something he knows he has got more to come and to do more. It is always good when there is room for improvement and progress to be made, but he is doing a good job at the moment.”

Convinced.
It seems Moyes has finally been convinced by the Italian after his last two outings, now the Hammers boss needs to start Scamacca in a string of games.
The Italy international has been in sublime form and clearly adds something different to the West Ham United attack that hasn’t been seen for years.
His hold-up play and eagerness to get into goalscoring positions can be a crucial component in the Hammers attacking play moving forward.
Scamacca is also striking up a fearsome partnership with fellow summer signing Lucas Paqueta, this is something Moyes can reap the rewards of this season.
With the Italian now scoring goals on the regular, he should be the Hammers go-to man for goals, as painful as that is to hear for Michail Antonio fans out there.
In an ideal world, Moyes could get the two playing together up top, but this seems to be out of the question based on his current tactics and formation.
