West Ham United finally make contact to sign Armando Broja from Chelsea
West Ham United have made long overdue contact with Chelsea to try and sign striker Armando Broja this summer, according to the Daily Mail.
The 20-year-old enjoyed a sensational breakthrough campaign in 2021-22 while on loan at fellow Premier League outfit Southampton, scoring nine times in the Premier League for Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side.
The Irons have had the Albanian on their summer transfer radar for some time but only now have made official contact with the Blues from across the capital in an attempt to sign him.

West Ham are also not the only Premier League side to have made their interest formal with Frank Lampard’s Everton also in contact with Chelsea over a potential transfer.
Thomas Tuchel wants to run the rule over the Albanian international over pre-season which could delay negotiations from progressing to an advanced stage in rapid time with Newcastle United also lurking in the shadows should he become available.
Perfect Addition
David Moyes is an astute football manager and he knows that the chance to sign such a young player who is already proven in the Premier League does not come along all that often.
That’s why he will be incredibly keen to make a move stick for the £30million-rated Albanian because he may not become available again if he joins either Everton or Newcastle.

Thankfully for us, the Toffees are hamstrung by finances which should mean we can outdo them in that regard and even though the Magpies have money to burn, financial fair play might restrict them from making such a move.
That could leave us with a wide-open door to take our time in signing Broja should Tuchel decide he isn’t going to play for Chelsea this season.
Michail Antonio has needed a challenger and someone to take the workload off him for a while now and Moyes could make the best move of our transfer window by signing the 20-year-old to do just that.
