West Ham United final Premier League position predicted by supercomputer in relegation verdict
West Ham United are predicted to finish 14th in the Premier League this season after the 0-0 draw against Everton, according to The Opta Analyst.
The Hammers faced off against Everton at the London Stadium on Saturday [9 November] but were unable to get the better of the relegation-threatened side in a bore draw.
However, Opta’s supercomputer believes the Irons will still comfortably survive relegation this season, despite only five points separating the side from the drop zone heading into the November international break.
West Ham are predicted to finish with 45 points this term, with a 3.69 per cent chance of relegation and an even smaller 0.26 per cent change of Europa League qualification.
West Ham United predicted a mediocre season under Julen Lopetegui
The Hammers have endured a poor start to the campaign, and this is largely down to the appointment of Julen Lopetegui in the dugout.
David Sullivan will soon be forced to admit that the decision to recruit the Spaniard to replace David Moyes was a monumental error by the board.
West Ham have managed three wins in 11 outings in the Premier League this year and, with nearly a third of the campaign played, the expectations must be drastically adjusted in East London.
TalkSPORT reported in the build-up to the match on Saturday, that Lopetegui has essentially lost the dressing room at the London Stadium, with several key players “not fully on board” with his methods – this was clear to see against Everton.
Crysencio Summerville was the only player who could hold his head high at West Ham and the only one who looked willing to put in a shift for the under-fire manager.

Furthermore, the match against Everton turned into a bore draw with both managers facing uncertain futures at their respective clubs and seemingly unwilling to take risks to further their cause.
While the Hammers are unwilling to discuss the Spaniard’s future throughout the international break, tough conversations must be had in East London as the club has regressed since Moyes’ departure.
