West Ham United final documents being checked to sign Mohammed Kudus – Fabrizio Romano
A deal between West Ham and Ajax for the transfer of midfielder Mohammed Kudus is “almost there,” according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian journalist shared an update via Twitter (25 August), reporting that the transfer of the 23-year-old Ghana international is now just a “matter of details”.
Romano explained that the final documents are being checked and then the attacking midfielder will officially be a new West Ham player as the deal is closed.
Kudus scored a hattrick for Ajax last night (Thursday 24 August) in their UEFA Europa League qualifier against Ludogorets.
Here we go
What an exciting time to be a West Ham fan. It seems as if David Moyes is finally going to land his man, and what a talent the club could have on their hands. If they needed any reminding of the potential of Kudus before he arrives at the London Stadium, a hattrick in his final game for Ajax isn’t a bad way to bow out.
It also demonstrates his professionalism, as well as his quality on the pitch. Despite it looking increasingly likely that his future was away from the Dutch side, he still performed until the very end and left everything out on the pitch. That will be just as important for fans, and a quality that is needed in the Premier League.

With Romano suggesting it is now just a “matter of details”, it is safe to assume that the deal is practically complete and the Kudus shirts can start being printed at the megastore.
What a signing.
In other West Ham news, the club have been handed a contract boost in the race for another attacking player, according to Dharmesh Sheth.
