West Ham United favourites to sign Inter Milan attacker Joaquin Correa
West Ham are reportedly in pole position to secure the services of Inter Milan attacker Joaquin Correa in the summer transfer window.
According to Gazzetta [24 March], the Argentina international is heading for the exit door at the San Siro and the Hammers are favourites to secure his services.
The 28-year-old has been Lionel Messi’s international teammate since 2017 and was part of the side that won the Copa America in 2021.

Worth considering
Correa would also have been a World Cup winner had he not picked up an injury that ruled him out of the 2022 edition in Qatar.
However, he is still a regular picks in the international squad and while he is not a first-team regular, he does make several appearances off the bench.
At 28, he’s got plenty of experience in the bag and also has learnt from world class players in the national team that certainly will help him polish his game.

He can play as a left winger or a centre forward and should be a good fit for the Hammers who desperately need someone to be a regular goal scorer.
This could also see Gianluca Scamacca take his game to the next level as the burden will be off his shoulders to be the focal point each time.
West Ham have wanted Correa since 2021, back when he was valued at £26million and two years down the line there’s little evidence to suggest that he’ll be worth anything more.
