West Ham United: Fabrizio Romano reveals ‘reality’ of David Moyes future at London Stadium
There is still no final decision made between David Moyes and the West Ham board over the manager’s future, despite the circulating rumours, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian transfer specialist reported via CaughtOffside [14 February] that the “reality” of the situation is that a new deal for Moyes has been discussed at London Stadium but it remains “fluid”.
Pressure has been mounting on the Scot, with many fans hoping the 6-0 defeat to Arsenal would be the last straw for the Hammers manager, with no wins in seven consecutive matches in all competitions.
David Moyes saga continues at West Ham
It appears that the West Ham board is still in full support of Moyes, having won the club their first European title in decades and leading the team to a current eighth-place standing in the Premier League.
However, a considerable number of Hammers fans are beginning to turn on the manager, evidenced by the mass walkout at London Stadium on Sunday 11 February.
The losses seem to only be part of the problem. It is the manner in which West Ham are being defeated, with 10 goals shipped in the last three matches against Bournemouth, Manchester United and Arsenal.
A few weeks ago, the Hammers looked like they could break into the top-four spots with a couple of good results. However, the club are much closer to the bottom half of the table now, with Moyes’ style of play under fire.

Something needs to change at West Ham. It is unlikely that Moyes will be the significant change at the moment, though, until the summer anyway.
Considering the form of the teams around the Hammers, it would be a struggle for them to break into the European spots and could switch their efforts to the Europa League. It seems a decision will be made at the end of the season, rather than now.
