ExWHUemployee shares damning Maxwel Cornet West Ham United update
ExWHUEmployee has shared serious concerns surrounding the fitness of West Ham United winger Maxwel Cornet on 17 December.
Cornet has faced ongoing setbacks in his comeback from an injury sustained against Wolves on October 1 and is likely to still be on the sidelines when the Irons return to Premier League football.
Ex confessed that “niggling” injuries are causing further delays to Cornet’s return to the Hammers team and there is a worry that he won’t be 100% for December 26.

“ExWHUEmployee has reported that the club fully intended to have Cornet involved in the mid-season break matches to get him firing in time to face the Gunners, but ‘niggling’ injuries are causing further delays,” as quoted by The West Ham Way.
“Ex stated that although it is hoped the winger should be in consideration on 26th December, there is a worry that the player needs to be at 100 % or simply isn’t available for the manager to choose upon.”

Hardly surprising.
Cornet’s injury-prone status seems to be a reoccurring theme and it’s hard to not get frustrated by the wingers’ constant spells on the sidelines.
The Hammers currently sit in a woeful 16th place and players like Cornet were signed in the summer to catapult West Ham United further up the league table.
In a summer where the club’s hierarchy splashed £150m on new players, the team simply haven’t been good enough and Cornet unfortunately has been part of this.
He has made only one start in the Premier League, and a further four appearances have come from the bench, hardly great numbers.
A fully-fit Cornet could potentially be a decent weapon for Moyes to deploy but his time is slowly running out as the club look to progress even further in the coming seasons.
The Ivorian needs to make an impact in the second half of the season or he risks becoming surplus to requirements at the London Stadium.
