ExWHUemployee delivers transfer update on West Ham United starlet Conor Coventry
ExWHUemployee has delivered a transfer update on West Ham United midfielder Conor Coventry, who is out of contract at the London Stadium in the summer of 2023.
It seems the Hammers will have to make a decision soon as to whether to sell him for a fee in January or risk losing the maestro for absolutely nothing.
Ex confessed on Twitter in response to a fan who asked about Coventry’s situation that the midfielder was staying put in London “for now”.
“At the moment there is no news, still remaining at West Ham for now,” said Ex on Twitter.

Get rid.
The club would be doing the right thing for all parties involved by getting rid of Coventry in January, he simply isn’t at the level to play and compete in the Premier League.
Nevertheless, the fact that the club are continuing to keep him at the club suggests they still believe he might be able to do a job for the Irons.
Coventry is obviously not a bad player at all, but if the club want to progress and move forward they must stop handing players big contracts who are undeserving of it.
Declan Rice, Tomas Soucek and Flynn Downes are all leaps and bounds ahead of Coventry in the Hammers engine room at this moment in time.
And whilst some might argue that Rice’s potential departure will free up a spot, this is hardly the like-for-like replacement fans want to see.
It would be great to be proved wrong on the midfielder, but it feels like his time at the London Stadium has come to an end and West Ham United may as well cash in on him now whilst they can.
