Armando Broja set to tour USA before West Ham United can seal move

West Ham target Armando Broja is set to go with Chelsea for their pre-season tour of America, according to Claret and Hugh.

The reliable Hammers source wrote on their website on 25 June that Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is “eventually likely to sell” the youngster, but he wants to have a look at him first.

The Hammers are heavily keen to land the young striker but the Blues are playing hardball over Broja at the moment, as reported by ExWHUemployee on 25 June.

West Ham

Broja is Moyes’ first choice, and Claret and Hugh have got the information that £30m could be enough to secure his signature.

Get in

It seems the Hammers will have to be patient in their effort to sign the 20-year-old striker.

The Blues will be looking to add a new striker to their ranks this summer, and probably once that happens, they will allow Broja to move on.

On top of that, the Hammers could face strong competition from the likes of Newcastle, as reported by The Northern Echo on 24 June.

The Albania international joined Chelsea in February 2020, but he has managed just one Premier League appearance so far.

West Ham

Last season, he was on loan at Southampton, where he caught everyone’s attention by scoring nine goals in 38 appearances in all competitions.

West Ham desperately need to add a striker to their ranks this summer. Michail Antonio remains the only striker at the club, and there’s no sufficient backup option.

The £30m price tag may seem a bit too much for a young talent who has got just one season under his belt, but that’s what the Hammers probably need to pay to secure the deal.
