West Ham United entitled to up to £6.6m compensation from FIFA after Gianluca Scamacca injury
West Ham are reportedly entitled to up to £6.6million in compensation from FIFA after Gianluca Scamacca’s injury on international duty with Italy.
On Saturday, 15 April, the forward underwent surgery which will rule him out for the rest of the season. [Football London].
Six Foot Two have reported on 18 April, that FIFA’s club protection scheme compensates clubs up to a maximum of £6.6million per accident which is calculated on a daily “pro rata” basis payable for a maximum of 365 days after the first 28 days of disablement.

Make the most
Due to no fault of their own, West Ham will be without the services of their arch striker at a time when they need him the most.
They are in the midst of a relegation battle and every goal is going to prove to be vital for them so David Moyes would’ve wanted Scamacca to be fit.
However, due to his injury with Italy, he may not ever feature for Moyes again should the Scotsman be shown the door in the summer.

It remains to be seen what the legalities of this compensation process are and whether the Hammers will actually be eligible to it or not.
There’s going to be a major rebuild at the club next summer so it makes sense to rake in as much money as they possibly can.
It’s also been reported that Newcastle are after not one but two West Ham players this summer and they would need to cough up a nine-figure fee combined if they want to sign them.
