West Ham United: Dharmesh Sheth shares ‘very important’ David Moyes exit news
Dharmesh Sheth has claimed David Moyes will want to see where West Ham finish in the Premier League and Europa League before deciding whether to sign a new deal.
It was claimed that strong finishes both domestically and in Europe could convince the boss that a long-term project remains in place for him at the London Stadium.
Meanwhile, if he does choose to leave in the summer, Moyes will want to depart with his reputation intact which could serve him well in landing another job elsewhere.
Speaking to Give Me Sport [20 March], the Sky Sports journalist shared: “I think he wants to see how the rest of this season goes.
“What happens to West Ham United, particularly in the Europa League and where they finish in the Premier League, might result in him believing it’s a long-term project for him, wanting to stay and putting pen-to-paper on that contract.
“Otherwise, he might think he has taken West Ham as far as he can after an incredible ride. He could shake hands with everyone and leave with his reputation completely intact.
“I think that is very important for David Moyes because, when it comes to getting another job, he is going to be in a good position.”
Will David Moyes leave West Ham this summer?
Despite plenty of rumours and conversations surrounding Moyes’ future after what has been a mixed season at the London Stadium, with plenty of fans calling for his head, particularly during a poor run of form around the new year, the decision rests in his hands.
With the decision seemingly being left to Moyes, he will be able to bide his time before making the final call, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him leave the club upon the end of his current deal after the stresses of this season.
However, given his prowess in European competition, as he has proven during his time at West Ham, further success in the Europa League could be what tempts him not to walk away from the current project.

However, should he decide to depart, he will surely walk away with his reputation intact, having collected European silverware alongside several strong league positions which have enhanced the public view of the boss.
