West Ham United: Dharmesh Sheth shares ‘incredible’ David Moyes sack update
Dharmesh Sheth has detailed the “incredible” situation David Moyes finds himself in at West Ham as a decision is still yet to be made over his future at the London Stadium.
The Sky Sports journalist reported on 16 March that the decision of whether or not to remain in East London could be left to Moyes rather than being made by the club.
As things stand, a contract is on the table as the boss confessed himself, but Sheth insists Moyes deserves to have the final say on his future as we will find out at the end of the season.
Speaking to Give Me Sport [16 March], Sheth shared: “If you speak to 10 West Ham fans, there’s a real divisiveness amongst those fans. You’ll almost see half of them saying no, David Moyes is the man, he deserves his chance, he should stay here long term.
“Whereas other fans will say no, with this squad, we want to be playing in a different way, etc, etc, etc. It’s such an incredible situation that West Ham and David Moyes find themselves in.
“Moyes has said that the contract offer is on the table, but it’s now he’s going to decide. I think in one way, he probably deserves that.
“He probably deserves the option to say I want to stay or I don’t want to stay and I think we’re going to find that out. We will have more clarity on that come the summer.”
Will David Moyes be sacked by West Ham?
Despite plenty of rumours and conversations surrounding the manager’s future after what has been a mixed season at the London Stadium, with plenty of fans calling for his head, particularly during a poor run of form around the new year, he looks set to remain.
With the decision seemingly being left to Moyes, he will be able to bide his time before making the final call, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him leave the club upon the end of his current deal after the stresses of this season.
Should he decide to walk away, the boss will leave with European silverware in hand and a legacy forged in East London, with fans unlikely to forget that Europa Conference League campaign any time soon.

The likes of Graham Potter, Marco Silva and even Thomas Tuchel have been mooted as possible replacements for Moyes should the club head in a new direction, with fans angling to see better football at the London Stadium.
