West Ham United defender Craig Dawson could return for Monday’s clash v Bournemouth

West Ham United defender Craig Dawson could return for Monday’s clash against Bournemouth, according to Ben Dinnery.

The injury expert has suggested that Dawson could be set for a return to action on Monday evening, after being left out of the matchday squad at Anfield.

Dawson has been out injured since leaving the pitch during the UEFA Conference League game against Anderlecht with a dead leg.

Sharing the news on his Premier Injuries page, the injury expert suggested that Dawson is 50% likely to feature in the Bournemouth fixture, whilst Maxwel Cornet will likely start training this week.

Dawson’s return would be a timely boost for Moyes and co after a recent injury crisis.

Needed.

West Ham United put in a solid showing against Liverpool on Wednesday evening, nevertheless, they looked leaky at the back on a fair few occasions.

Aaron Cresswell and Ben Johnson love to bomb forward and this left the Irons bare at the back, something which Liverpool nearly capitalised on multiple times.

The Hammers have had no luck with injuries this campaign so hopefully, Dawson can bring some much-needed legs and experience back to the heart of the defence.

More performances like the one against Liverpool will be welcomed and it’s nice to see Moyes’s team finally looking like a setup to be reckoned with.

Returns to the team of Dawson and Cornet will only help Moyes with his team’s frantic Premier League schedule and fresh legs will be vital in the run-up before the World Cup.

Things have slowly but surely gotten better for West Ham, now they need to focus on accumulating as many point as they possibly can.
