West Ham United defender Arthur Masuaku set to stay amid exit fears
West Ham defender Arthur Masuaku is set to stay at the club, according to The Athletic.
Roshane Thomas wrote for the website on 21 July that left-back is one area that needs bolstering. But at the moment, it looks like Masuaku and Aaron Cresswell will remain as two options for David Moyes.
Claret and Hugh wrote on their website on 21 June that the Hammers are expecting an offer from London rivals Fulham for Masuaku.

Strange
The reliable Hammers insider reported that West Ham are hoping to receive offers from elsewhere, and in case, there’s no offer on the table, the club will terminate the deal for the player who has a contract until 2024.
The 28-year-old joined the Hammers in 2016 from Olympiacos and has managed just over 125 appearances for the London club.
Masuaku is an attacking left-wing-back, but he is very poor with his defending. Many thought that the Hammers will land a new left-back this summer, as Masuaku clearly underperformed last season.

In 2021-22, he made 21 appearances in all competitions, but there wasn’t enough evidence to show that he deserves to stay.
Cresswell is a different type of left-back. He is very good with his set-piece deliveries but he too failed to deliver in big games for the Hammers last season.
Thomas wrote for The Atheltic that the likes of Issa Diop and Nikola Vlasic are expected to depart at some point, but Masuaku’s future is not under threat at the moment.
