West Ham United defender Arthur Masuaku set to sign contract with Besiktas this week
West Ham defender Arthur Masuaku is on his way to join Turkish club Besiktas this summer, as reported by Fanatik.
The Turkish newspaper reported on their online edition on 1 August that Besiktas have reached a loan agreement for Masuaku, and the player is expected to arrive to sign his contract this week.
Besiktas are looking to add a purchase option as a part of the agreement for the DR Congo international.

Time over
Masuaku is one of the senior players at the club. He joined the Hammers in 2016, and made over 125 appearances in six seasons at the club.
Besiktas needed to sign a new left-back after they sold Rıdvan Yılmaz, who joined Rangers.
Masuaku is a versatile defender, who can play as a left-sided midfielder as well.
Last season, he managed 21 appearances at the club, and his overall performances were below par. He is an adventurous left-back, who loves to get forward, but he was very poor with his defending.

It became very clear that his time at the London club is coming to an end.
The Hammers, meanwhile, need to sign a left-back this summer. Masuaku’s departure could pave the away for a potential new arrival.
As per Sky Sports journalist, Dharmesh Sheth (1 August), West Ham are still in talks to sign Eintracht Frankfurt defender Filip Kostic. However, the player prefers to stay in Germany, and the deal looks complicated.
