Opta analyst stats show no one has crossed the ball more into the box than West Ham United this season

West Ham United have crossed the ball into the opposition’s box more than any other team in the Premier League, according to the Opta Analyst.

This is an interesting statistic to digest, especially when you consider how poor the Hammers have been in front of goal so far this campaign.

And the stat is even more intriguing when you consider the 6ft3 goalscoring menace West Ham has on their bench to convert these crosses.

West Ham signed Gianluca Scamacca in the summer and the forward has yet to have been utilised by Moyes in the Premier League.

Scamacca has been hyped as Italy’s next striking sensation and he’s shown glimpses of what he can do in the Uefa Conference League, now Moyes must utilise him in the English top-flight.

West Ham

Come on.

If there was ever a damming statistic to prove Moyes should be starting the Italian international, it’s this one, he can be a menace for the Hammers.

Statistically, no one has crossed the ball more into the box than West Ham United, but with three goals to their name this season, evidently, no one is converting them.

Surely Moyes can look to his 6ft3 striker whose talents are being wasted on the bench to grab some goals from these crosses.

Either Moyes looks to his summer signing for help, or he leaves the club with his tail between his legs, the stats don’t lie.

Scamacca needs some starts and fast, this is the only way he can build some confidence and take the pressure off Michail Antonio who the Hammers have become far too reliant on in recent seasons.

It seems like the obvious choice to make, whether Moyes will start the Italian is a different story all together.
