West Ham United cut short Armstrong Oko-Flex Swansea loan deal

West Ham United winger Armstrong Oko-Flex has had his season-long loan at Swansea cut short after joining the Championship club in August, according to whufc.com.

Oko-Flex made 13 appearances for the Welsh side, including only one start, something which has seemed to affect his move.

West Ham United’s official club website confessed Oko-Flex had returned to the club alongside two other academy prospects; Dan Chesters and Thierry Nevers.

“Okoflex is one of three Academy players to return from loan spells this week,” as quoted by whufc.com.

“With Dan Chesters and Thierry Nevers also returning to east London from EFL League Two sides Colchester United and Newport County, respectively.”

There will still be hope around the London Stadium that Oko-Flex can make a name for himself within the Hammers first team at some point in the near future.

This was confirmed by the club activating an option for an extra year on his current contract, so with luck the youngster can pay them back for their faith in him.

Although it’s a shame that things haven’t panned out brilliantly at Swansea, a loan stint in the Championship was the perfect opportunity for the 20-year-old to gain some minutes on the pitch.

It was thought that with the hectic Championship festive fixture list, the West Ham United loanee may get some game time under Martin, but this failed to transpire.

Oko-Flex will now join David Moyes’ West Ham United first team and could be a useful talent to turn to for UEFA Europa Conference League games.

Especially now the Hammers find themselves in a precarious Premier League position, the team will need all the fresh legs they can get.
