West Ham United could soon come forward to sign Sassuolo winger Hamed Junior Traore
West Ham United could “soon come forward” to sign Sassuolo winger Hamed Junior Traore according to Italian news outlet Milan.live.it
It’s been reported (27 October, Milan.Live) that Sassuolo are reluctant to sell the 22-year-old but may have to due to Traore changing agents.
Serie A heavyweights AC Milan, Napoli and Juventus are understood to all be tracking the Ivory Coast international who has drawn a lot of attention from the Premier League and Europe.
It’s been suggested West Ham could soon come forward along with Tottenham and Roberto De Zerbi’s Brighton and Hove Albion.
Italian connections
Traore was in good form in the 2021/22 season, managing eight goals and four assists for a Sassuolo side which also included Gianluca Scamacca. The Italian’s presence at the London Stadium could potentially lure the 22-year-old to the Premier League.

Another attacking midfielder is clearly what David Moyes wants with the Irons still reportedly keen on Villarreal attacker Arnaut Danjuma (Fichajes.net, 19 October).
Fans will be pleased to see the Hammers being active outside of the transfer window, with the summer hopefully only the start of a significant change in Moyes’ squad. At 22, Traore would be an exciting long-term signing, but somewhat untested in the Premier League which could be seen as a gamble.
However, with his contract coming to a close in the summer of 2024, there could well be a deal for the Hammers to strike if they can fight off the Serie A and Premier League interest. More rumours are bound to emerge as we edge closer to the World Cup break and January window.
