West Ham United could now sign two left-sided players this summer – ExWHUemployee

West Ham United could now sign two new players for the left-hand side this summer, according to ExWHUemployee.

The reliable source has shared that one or two new faces could arrive for David Moyes, with Arthur Masuaku now on the way out to possibly join Besiktas.

Any deal for Masuaku to leave will depend on how quickly a left-side player is signed, with a decision still waiting on Eintracht Frankfurt ace Filip Kostic.

Writing on the official West Ham Way Patreon page on Monday [01 August], Ex shared that it may not only be one new face on that side arriving.

“As West Ham push for a move for a new left-sided player or two it looks like the club could be prepared to accept a loan offer for the player although a sale would be preferred,” he wrote.

“A number of foreign teams have now submitted moves but it appears that Turkish side Besiktas are leading the way and are set to secure a season-long loan.

“The player has two years remaining on his contract and the club will try to also negotiate an option to buy. How quickly the club allow this transfer to happen will depend on how likely they feel to landing one of their left-sided targets with a decision still waiting on Serbian Kostic.”

Splash the cash.

GSBK have thrown the money around this summer, but they have been very smart with it.

Now, getting rid of Masuaku and bringing in two new options that can provide much better competition and ability going forward and at the back will be superb.

West Ham United need to move into this new consistent European adventure with a new beginning, and this small overhaul of the squad is a massive part of it.

If Kostic came in, he could play wing-back but also in an attacking three if David Moyes chooses to change system in games, so another left-back is possibly a priority now.

With another midfielder wanted too, bringing in three new faces in total could represent a hugely successful summer window, and one of the best in recent years.

With Besiktas closing in, it is time to let Masuaku leave as soon as possible, with the new era mentioned well and truly getting underway at the London Stadium this summer.
