West Ham United could announce Julen Lopetegui within days in David Moyes move
West Ham could give David Moyes a proper send-off by confirming the announcement of Julen Lopetegui as their new manager, according to The Evening Standard.
The Irons could officially announce Lopetegui’s appointment ahead of Saturday (11 May), when they face Luton Town in their final Premier League home game of the season.
Moyes is widely expected to depart the London Stadium once this year’s campaign comes to an end, but that parting of ways could be confirmed by a public announcement, which some at the club are pushing for.

West Ham look to have got their man in Lopetegui, and the only question remaining now is how and when they announce two hugely important pieces of news.
Having Lopetegui confirmed as their new manager could be seen as the first step, as it both takes an in-demand manager off the market and allows the Hammers to set their summer transfer plans in motion.
However, their most pressing issue should be to ensure that Moyes receives a send-off befitting of his achievements at the London Stadium.
Sunday’s (5 May) 5-0 thrashing by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge was the second time in three matches that the Irons have conceded five goals in a Premier League match, and laid bare that the writing on the wall does not look good for Moyes’ future.
Despite his reign at the London Stadium looking like it’s set to come to a somewhat forgettable end, there’s no denying that Moyes has raised the standards at the London Stadium, and with his UEFA Conference League Final victory at the forefront of every fan’s minds, the Scot should be given the best possible farewell against Luton this weekend.
