West Ham United contemplate new bid for Amadou Onana, major concern dropped – ExWHUemployee
West Ham United are considering another bid to sign Lille maestro Amadou Onana after their first offer was knocked back, according to ExWHUemployee.
The reliable source has reported that the Hammers are facing a lot of competition for the Belgian international, with Arsenal, Liverpool and Monaco named as rivals.
There is concern for the Irons though, with the idea that Lille are trying to start a bidding war between themselves and Arsenal to complete a deal this summer.

Writing on the official West Ham Way Patreon page on Sunday evening [03 July], Ex shared the latest regarding what could happen next in this potential move.
“We can confirm that a bid was submitted but was also rejected,” he wrote.
“There is a lot of interest in the player including from mainly Arsenal but Liverpool, Monaco and another couple of premier league teams. No doubt Newcastle will emerge as one, they will challenge most of our targets as we predictably reported early on in this window.
“It is thought West Ham are considering whether to make a bid again but there are concerns that Lille want to start a bidding war between West Ham and Arsenal.”

Here we go…
GSB aren’t exactly known for throwing the cash around, so the mention of a bidding war isn’t one that particularly gets us excited about our chances to win this race.
Dharmesh Sheth has reported that the first bid was around £19.8million, so it looks as though West Ham are going to need to go well over £20million to get Lille on board.
This could all depend on how much David Moyes pushes and wants that new midfielder.
It is an area that is in desperate need of reinforcement, just like the final third, with Mark Noble retiring and Alex Kral returning to Spartak Moscow after his shocking loan spell.
With Liverpool and Arsenal also circling, this first bid may have been an early move to try and win the race before it has even begun, but with it being rejected, it has only alerted others to the situation.
West Ham United now either need to pay up or move on, but it is essential we don’t get stuck in a pointless bidding war, the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal don’t have any issue overpaying.
