West Ham United contact agent of Rangers star Glen Kamara

West Ham United are keen on signing Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara and have contacted his representatives, according to Give Me Sport.

The Finland international is yet to sign an extension at Ibrox, with just two years left on his contract.

An agreement between Kamara and Rangers is proving difficult to reach, and West Ham are now keen to know the kind of deal he would be looking for this summer [Give Me Sport].

Huge midfield addition

The Hammers need to strengthen in midfield this summer ahead of next term’s busy schedule, and the 25-year-old would be a solid addition if bought.

Despite the standard of the Scottish Premiership when compared with the Premier League, Kamara held his own against some of the best players on the continent at the European Championship.

Finland won once and lost the other two group games, failing to advance to the knockout stages, but the Rangers star shone, with his interceptions statistics leading the way during the entirety of the group stage.

No Finnish player had more interceptions per game (3.3), drew more fouls per game (2.7) or attempted more passes (52.3) [WhoScored].

Kamara also had the second-highest pass success rate (87.9%) of any Finnish player to have started a game, and those qualities would come in very handy in West Ham midfielder.

Manager David Moyes has made some smart and shrewd signings since becoming boss, and we reckon landing the former Arsenal youth player could prove to be another masterstroke.

In other West Ham news, striker’s agent has arrived in England for transfer talks amid Hammers speculation.
