West Ham United consider bid for Valencia sensation Yunus Musah, quickfire deal on cards
West Ham United are interested in Valencia sensation Yunus Musah as the La Liga side look to offload the 20-year-old, according to Revelo.
It’s believed the midfielder’s agents have been moving around Italy and England over the past year in order to secure his exit from The Mestalla (Revelo, 13 June).
In an ideal world, Valencia want to secure the American’s exit before 30 June in order to start rebuilding their own squad over the course of the summer window. Meetings have been held between the club and the player, with both parties pushing for an exit.

It’s understood West Ham are in contact with the midfielder’s representatives and are considering making a bid. Although Musah’s £21.5m valuation may be too high.
Rice replacement?
Could Musah be a replacement for Declan Rice?
The American certainly has the credentials. He’s still in the early part of his career, he could develop further and he played 33 times for Valencia last season. There’s a lot to like.
The board and David Moyes need to start planning for life without their talismanic captain. Arsenal seems to be the most likely destination for the England international. The Gunners’ interest hasn’t waned in recent months and a bid could arrive very soon.

Whether that is the best move is certainly up for debate. However, one thing that cannot be argued is that the 24-year-old has to be playing Champions League football.
Yes, West Ham are in the Europa League next season, but Rice needs to be playing alongside the best on the planet. He’s done it for England on some of the biggest stages. It’s now time for the midfielder to take his game to new heights at club level.
