West Ham United: Super computer makes worrying relegation prediction after draw v Leeds United
West Ham United have a 16% chance of relegation from the Premier League as the pressure on manager David Moyes continues to soar, according to the Super Computer from FiveThirtyEight.
The Hammers ended their five-match losing run in the league by picking up a point against fellow relegation rivals Leeds United on Wednesday night (4 January) but only remain above the drop zone on goal difference.
The Super Computer has increased the chances of relegation in the last week, rising from 10% on 30 December to a worrying 16% chance following their defeat to Brentford and the 2-2 draw against the Whites.

It predicts that Moyes’ side will finish in 15th place and just scrape past the magical 40-point mark – picking up 41 points by the end of the season.
Bournemouth have the highest chance of relegation to the Championship with 56%, quickly followed by Southampton and Everton, who fill the other two places in the predicted relegation zone by the Super Computer.
Worrying
West Ham’s recent slip down the Premier League table will come as a huge worry to fans, and the ever-rising predictions made by the Super Computer highlight this.
If the Hammers were to face relegation from the top flight, the club’s finances would be thrown into disarray, and the club would likely lose a host of their international quality stars.

The draw at Elland Road at least stopped the rot, and an FA Cup tie against Brentford could prove an opportunity to release the handbrake and find some attacking fluency.
Goals for Gianluca Scamacca and Lucas Paqueta were just what the doctor ordered on Wednesday night, and Moyes will hope these are the first of many in the Premier League run-in with West Ham desperate to avoid the drop.
So far this season West Ham United’s attack has netted a mere 15 goals from 18 league games this season, so a potential dip into the January transfer window could prove the club’s saving grace.
